Exploring ‘Strengthening Concentration’ w/ Shaila Catherine

About the Topic?

Right Concentration is a vital factor of the Buddhist path; it is prominent in teachings on the eight fold path. How do you distinguish right concentration from wrong concentration? In this talk, Shaila Catherine will explore the qualities of the concentrated mind and the benefits of deep samadhi. She will illuminate the powerful role that right concentration plays in the path of awakening, and highlight common pitfalls that may distort the development of samadhi.

This online event will include a dhamma talk, brief guided meditation, and question & answer session. You may ask questions about your practice of concentration, and Shaila will respond with understandings gleaned from her extensive experience with jhana practice. Join us to explore the role of concentration in your dhamma practice.
